This is a story I heard from a HK radio station and I want to share with everyone, so I cut it and put it up here. Since some of you cannot understand Cantonese, I translated to English on the bottom. But I don’t think I translated that well and I don’t think it is as touching as listen directly from the radio. So if you can understand Cantonese pretty well, you should listen to it instead of reading my translation.

I want to share a real story that I heard from radio

In Hong Kong, there are many small bookstores. They usually buy books from people. This story happened in the bookstore and a bookstore owner called up to the station and told audiences the story.

One day, an old lady called the bookstore and asked the owner if she would sell her books to him. The owner was really happy and he went to the old lady’s house to put up the books from her.
After a few weeks, an old man from China went to the bookstore and looked for books. He randomly picked out one of the old’s lady’s book and read the first page, he started crying. The owner saw that and immediately asked the old man what happened. The old man said, “This was my book,” and he showed owner the first page and it has a message that the old man wrote to the old lady. The message was “Although we cannot be together, I hope our LOVE can still continue, and be able to see each other in the future.”

The owner immediately called the old lady and told her about the old man. Happily, they both wanted to see each other again. Therefore, they decided to meet up at the bookstore. Maybe it was a coincident or fate- although they were married and have their own family, their wife and husband both passed away few years ago——— so now, they are single.The old lady decided to go to China with the old man for the rest of her life.

Few years later, the bookstore owner received a letter from the old man. It was a Thank You letter. The old man was really appreciate everything that the owner did for them, so they could spend the last couple years together and fulfilled their wishes. In the letter, it also mentioned that he never imagined that they can ever be together again and the old lady had  passed away peacefully in his arms.


Maybe because of wars or parents or something else, they cannot be together. Many years later, they see each other again. Their Love for each other had never changed after half of the century.

How come nowadays, people can break up easily just because of little things?  Maybe just like what the DJ said, ” when you find the right person, don’t let go easily. Since you guys can be together, you should be cherish. If there is an argument, forgive each other.  Don’t break up just because of some disagreement. If not-when you lose your love one, regret is too late. Don’t let go your love!”
